"How much are you willing to be hated?"

“We are in an interesting battle, whether we realise it or not, in this world. It’s a battle between life and death. What side are you on?”

“I know, along my journey, I am already hated because I declare life!”

“How much are you willing to take, and how much are you willing to risk, to speak the truth in love and graciousness, and stand up and, at least, be willing to be hated?”

“There was not a radical feminist, standing up and yelling about how my rights had been violated that day. In fact my life was being snuffed out in the name of womens rights.”

“There are things that you are only able to learn by the weakest among us. And when you snuff them out you are the one that looses. The Lord looks after them but you are the one who will suffer for ever.”

“And what arrogance, what absolute arrogance, and it has been an arguement for so long in this human place that we live, that the stronger should dominate the weaker, should determine who lives and dies. The arrogance of that! Don’t you realise that you cannot make your own heart beat. Don’t you realise that all the power that you think that you possess you really possess none of it. It is the mercy of God that sustains you, even when you hate Him.”

“We misunderstand how beautiful suffering can be. I don’t willingly sign up for it, but when it comes, we forget that God is in control and God has a way of making the most miserable thing beautiful.”

“Men, you are made for greatness. You are made to stand up and be men. You are made to defend women and children, not stand by, and turn your head, when you know murder is occurring and do nothing about it. You are not made to use women and leave us alone. You are made to be kind and great and gracious and strong and stand for something because men, listen to me, I am too tired to do your job.”

“Women, you are not made for abuse. You are not made to sit and not know your worth and your value. You are made to be fought for, forever.”

“So now is your moment, what sort of people are you going to be? I trust, incredible. I trust, men, you will rise to the occassion. To the politians listening, particularly to the men, I would say this, you are made for greatness, set your politics aside. You are made to defend what is right and good, this fiery young girl will stand here and say, now it your moment. What sort of man do you want to be? A man obsessed with your own glory or a man obsessed with the glory of God? It’s time to take a stand, Victoria. This is your hour. God will assist you. God will be with you. You have the opportunity to glorify and honour God in 2008.”

“Some of you might be slightly annoyed that all I keep doing is talking about God and Jesus but how on earth can I walk about, limping through this world and not give ALL my heart and mind and soul and strength to the Christ who gave me life! So if you think I am a fool, it’s just another jewel in my crown. My whole intent in living here is to make God smile.”

FREE SARAWAK radio

Radio Free Sarawak is the independent radio station that brings you the news you want to hear, not what others want you to hear. No one controls us, except you, the listeners of Sarawak .

So tune in and enjoy the news, interviews, reports and comment that you will never get to hear on any of the other government-controlled radio stations in Sarawak. There will be plenty of our best music too, all presented to you in Iban by Papa Orang Utan, our own man from the jungle of Sarawak!

This is specially for people of Sarawak...

Sarawak...

today is March 11th (Friday)...

i wanna say, i wanted to go back Sarawak...
perhaps, two more years here in Semenanjung, then i'll go back...

though earlier on, i actually wanted to be a little irrational, i mean, just work till end of this year, and go back to East Malaysia... sebab hati keberatan mau berada jauh daripada keluarga, apatah lagi semasa Chinese New Year, menangis on the day pergi airport... macam it's the first time rasa so berat hati mau terbang pergi KL... huhu~~~

;(

but after calming myself, and think about it, 'alright, it is too rash to decide just like that...', should stay for at least 3 years just like i decided to when i took up this work

ok...

i like this video...

Selepas Tsunami (After the Tsunami) from Pusat KOMAS on Vimeo.

somehow, i feel like it's a season of awakening through the explosion of information & communication technology, an element which was promoted by the government since 90s perhaps??

this kind of information, videos, reports, commentaries, investigations were not made known those days, but now emerging through world wide web and many social networking applications, reaching to more and more people...

yes, somehow i find it hard to straight buy into all stuffs channeled because it came out of nowhere, well at least to me, and it's about politics, the game of orang-orang besar here... yet, there is no smoke without fire right? and i do think that it is sooner or later that the "turning point" of Malaysia is about to happen...

i have been disconnected from my nation all this while, it's no more room for self but to care more about others... it's time to think and act on the course of owning this nation...

let myself to be educated and share what i've received to others

now... a song recommended by me :)

We'll walk the land (streets) with hearts of fire
And every step will be a prayer
Hope is rising, new day dawning
The sound of singing fills the air

Two thousand years and still the flame
Is burning bright across the land
Hearts are waiting, longing, aching
For awakening once again

Let the flame burn brighter in the heart of the darkness
Turning night to glorious day
Let the song grow louder as our love grows stronger
Let it shine
Let it shine

We'll walk the truth, speak out the love
In Jesus' name we shall be strong
To lift the fallen, to save the children
To flood the nation with Your song

Let the flame burn brighter in the heart of the darkness
Turning night to glorious day
Let the song grow louder as our love grows stronger
Let it shine
Let it shine
(repeats)

it was sung at the closing of National Conference 2010 "Risk It U Turn" on Saturday... very semangat, like a soldier...

the worst national song ever! (sorry to say but it's true)

everyone! have you ever heard the song about Malaysia's Bunga Raya this year???
it was made for Tahun Jubilee Bunga Kebangsaan Malaysia (something like that)... guess what it is being played in rapidKL buses!!! over and over and over till it stuck in your head!

ARRGHHH~~~!

it is ANNOYING... to the max! the whole song is not patriotic and it is like composed by a non musician, simply throw in the musical notes, just to give a tune to the lyrics... sorry to say, but it's 'yucksss' for me to listen to it...

tune is out, lyric is 'blah', the video is 'so so, typical RTM videos'... guess they run out of ideas???

unlike 'Sejahtera Malaysia' and 'KeranaMu Malaysia' etc...

Risk It... U-Turn...

National Conference 2010, organized by Fellowship of Evangelical Students (FES) at Bayu Resort Port Dickson, from 29nov till 4dec was a blast! BOOOMMM!

why??

AMAZING PEOPLE...

WONDERFUL STORIES...

YOU'LL-NEVER-GO-HUNGRY MEALS...

ELECTRIFYING SPEECHES...

AWESOME GOD!!!

i guess i will need a day or two to write for my journal!!! from the first day till the last moment there!

God of second chances...
God who revives...
God who look pass handicaps and lead the person to eternal destiny...

God of silence yet full of energy and strong presence...
God who is faithful even though we failed many times!!!

God... the BIGGEST RISK TAKER!

this generation of young people, called to be the voice of the LORD in this nation, against the current world full of racism, injustice, compromise, degraded morale...
becoming the prophets, to profess God's standards to restore and reconcile relationships, between men and between men to God...

the Benjamin Generation...

we went through the second letter of Apostle Paul to Timothy... we looked at the prophet Ezekiel... the prophet Jeremiah... we look at GOD'S HEART for this nation, this generation...

i sense the time is soon... the one which i dreamed of 2 or 3 years ago...
though it might not be drastic and dramatic... hmm... perhaps it might be...!

ok... SELAH, a moment of pause...

fuuh~~~ too many things to write that it's all over the place... i do need a day to write them!

Tega tawai, TUHAN...

setelah sekian lama...

after a looooooonng time... my gosh! it's like i've abandon my writings, both blog (though initially, i meant it for fun and small sharings only) and MY JOURNAL!!!

oh my... too much... too many things happened since my last post in my journal...
this year's journal notes started with a few sentences, recording some experiences... and that's all, not even truly write down what i wanted to write, you know, what's in my mind, what's in store...

ok... i need a mountain to climb for solitary time...

reflection...

recalling...

remembering...

reassurance...

searching...

and falling in love again... and again... and again...

kenangan...

today... looking at the kindergarten picture on FB, suddenly i thought of my cousin when he was still alive...

...

...

...

...

...

perhaps i miss him... even though we didnt really spend much time together, especially after he moved out from our house during secondary school, i remember the times when we were still young, and such a kiddo...

there was a time when we competed with each other to be the first to wake up and made ready for school, primary school... finished writing vocabulary even before teacher asked us to...

...

it has been two years since the last time i saw him, before he was gone...

i still cannot make up my mind that he is actually gone! as if he was still somewhere outside...

the biggest shock is, he passed away before his brother did (who was in the hospital due to suspected drug overdose in KL) ! when he went back Sarawak that time, he was just fine! we thought his brother would go first, never expect he died in Sibu Hospital...

DOUBLE shock for us!

even though we are not so so close...

BUT i miss them, especially the younger one of them, same age with me and grew up together...
